• Aghh, why do I have to be so nice to strangers? I kind of regret helping people I don’t even know. This man comes up to me, he’s crying in tears and tells me that his family needs to go to a wedding and they’re travelling via Greyhound Bus. He was crying, you could see the tears in his eyes. At the time I believed him and I still do, for he showed me their tickets. Anyways, they need to buy one more ticket and he needs a couple dollars. I think twice this time because I pitied him, I hand him two dollars and then lied saying that’s all I have. He asked if I had any bills because he had some change. I said yes, thinking he would only need 2 dollars more. Turned out he needed 5 more. I can’t believe I gave that guy that much, never, never, never again will I help someone. That was my financial deed for my life. Really, 70% of me believes the guy. But, what the hell, I coulda done so much with that seven dollars and I hate helping people when it costs me. Grr… Let’s just hope this adds to my karma and pushes my math marks up on the provincial. Why am I still so bothered about this? Next time a stranger talks to me, I walk away and say NO, not listening to their story.
