I was reading one of my older entries today and realized that I haven't been taking this past advice hard enough:
Tuesday, May 30, 2006An architect gave me wise advise today about how we may view life as just a rehearsal, but the reality is that it's a complete one shot deal. Do what you want to do now while you're young, don't wait until you're old. She had a really stern and serious gaze as she said those words.

Ugh, right now I'm terrified of growing old. If a "god" exists, then this must be one of his jokes. Let's make humans with these things called "cells" that deteriorate over time so they'll still be able to remain in a state of being alive, but a trip from your room to the kitchen will be like running a marathon!...with worn out not-really-functioning lungs, and bones that could snap if you pushed yourself harder than 1 step/30 secs.
Then again, you don't really know how something feels like until you get there. What we see is just observation. Maybe if I survive for the next couple of decades, I'll realize that being old isn't that bad. Like, I dunno, I'll be filled up with so much knowledge and wisdom (LOL) and I'll snicker as I watch kids making the exact same mistakes as me, and not giving a word of advice because I don't like kids.
I don't think worrying about the future, or worrying in general has a point. It accomplishes nothing, makes you feel crappy, and wastes time. I think what she means is that there are no reruns in life and lost time is lost forever? I agree that you should do what you wanna do...but I feel like she's implying that you can't chase your dreams when you're older, which isn't completely true. Your physical body container might limit you in some ways, but as long as you try to be healthy [and it certainly seems like you do lol] and don't do stupid things to downgrade your mind, I don't think you should feel rushed to do anything. I believe in being as efficient as possible, while still doing a good job. Trying to sloppily do a bunch of stuff=fail. Doing things the longer way to achieve the same result=waste of time.
