  • Old people

I always admire anomalies such as when old people hold hands, particularly old couples consisting of one male and one female. It’s one of the simple things I can’t quite understand.

Perhaps couples grow apart when they grow fat, old, and start to smell. Perhaps they’re so shallow to let their aged, weathered, leathery mugs become an unpenetrable barrier of the attraction and desire which once was. Perhaps they grow sick of each other, but are so used to being with one another that they can’t manage to be apart. Somewhat of a symbiotic relationship of two parasites feeding off each other’s brain fluids.

It’s one of the things I quite simply cannot comprehend. Why is it such a rare commodity for them to hold hands?

If I do choose to live to be old or if I am allowed to live to that age, I would still wish to hold hands with my beloved. I wouldn’t let wrinkles, age, or any other senile deficiencies get in the way. How wonderful could that be, to be fat and old, but still genuinely in love.

  • RYC4- Hire at least 5 [armed] accomplices to catch up to him while you are buying the knife, but don’t kill the guy. Just scare him into giving whatever he stole from you back.

…not a lot of people your age give much thought to old couples. If I see old people, I just wish I wouldn’t look old….ever…

  • on the other hand, old men who try to carry on lively conversations with you in the nude in the locker room at a gym…that’s totally not cool.

  • man did you really watch it while eating dinner?  you either got a stomach of a mule-dragon aka mulagon, or a mind of a psychopath.  I hope its not the latter.

and the old ppl holding hand anecdote is true.  its quite rare but i smile everytime i see one because it just makes me hopeful about the elusive 4 letter word whenever something like that crosses my path

  • I can only hope to be a wrinkled old granny that holds my wrinkled old hubby’s hand as we walk our walkers together.

  • Props, nice xanga site! I agree about the beauty of old couples. I volunteered for a hospice for a while, and it was definitely inspiring to see the couple I was with for a while. But it also takes a lot of invisible work as well…

  • When I see a smiling old couple, I know they use viagra :D

  • bbbro! now who is the one no longer updating?!
