  • My heritage never ceases to fascinate me. I am a fifth generation
Canadian; a stange entangled breed of Chinese, Japanese, and Filipino.
I've been paying attention to some of the articles on the recent
Chinese headtax refund. My grandfather (who's father paid a headtax) is
currently trying to get his refund. However, the idea of a refund is
not exactly what captivates my thoughts.

    Being curious by nature
and having a strong obsession with historic/nostalgic memories even if
they're not my own. I continue to ponder what it was like back then in
Shanghai Alley in the 1930's during my grandfather's childhood or even
my great grandfather's memories during the late 1800's. Either way, I
will eventually have to read up on it.

I've heard many stories from my grandfather through him and other
family members... The buildings that they lived in were fenced up to
    keep people
out. They had to sleep upon dirty old matresses due to poverty, these
matressess were so dirty that they were literally infested with "bed
bugs." He would wake up with bites all over his body. Being poor, money
can only get you so much; his family ate weeks old bread from the
bakeries after being tossed out. The swimming pool by the beach was
racist towards Chinese people so they couldn't swim with the Caucasians
during opening hours. However they would let the Chinese boys go in
before then and when those boys were done swimming they would urinate
in the pool on purpose out of spite. Many little memories that I've
    heard througout my years..

  • Working in trades is fucking high pressure when you're working with
shit that you possibly couldn't afford to buy yourself, let alone
break. Now imagine that and add in someone else who you work with that
is constantly bitch-nagging you all day long. Imagine that who you're
supposidly supposed to get instructions from tells you half of the
story all of the time, stands there over your shoulder watching you
then immediately bitches that you did something wrong when they didn't
even say how to do such a thing when you actually did bother to ask for
a little more description in the beginning and they refused to. Not
only that, now imagine that you have to live with that person because
they're your father. Fucking hell, I want my A-Ticket so I can move out
and not have to deal with this damn shit. Plus I have to deal with
assholes smoking in my face all day long. Want to completely prevent
people from smoking? How about introducing a law in which cigarettes
are not banned at all, infact the carcinogenic toxins within the
cigarettes are increased by 1,000,000,000%. Brilliant.

  • Over time my vast collection of assorted books has been increasing, yet
each and every one of them remain unread. Not only that, but I don't
have any storage space for them either, they continue to stack ontop of
each other. In my case there's two layers per shelf! Need to get out
the old saw, chop up my huge desk, dump it, then get some more storage
furniture. Wish I lived in a house, then I would probably build my own
    furniture.

  • My record for being invinsible towards all disease has ended. I've
caught the common cold. My sinuses are infected, meaning that my ears
seem muffled, I can't taste a thing, my brains are filled with snot,
thus giving me a headache, my nose is either plugged or runny, and my
throat is momentarily sore. I want to eat, eat, eat and continue to
raise my calorie intake per day, but I can't do it, my hunger is
halved. It sucks, I can't even work out because I get tired quickly.
Atleast I'm still slaving away at work; need to make thems moneys.
Worst of all I have to put up with other people smoking 10+ times a
day, which really irritates my sinuses when sick. It really burns!
Stupid cold. Need to wash hands 10x more and sleep alot on a regular
basis to avoid this from happening ever again.

  • I shot the sheriff, but I didn't shoot no deputy.

  • It's a real eye opener when you see how unhealthy a family member can
become from a lifetime of unhealthiness. Not only that, but around my
age is probably the peak age for training my body. These are two
reasons for why I have to push myself in the morning, during, and after
work to get stronger and diet well.
