  • I've been apprenticing as an electrician for over a year now and I've
come to realize that the best homeowners to work with are those who
have hands on experience with building homes such as carpenters,
electricians, architects, etc. Homeowners who are completely oblivious
to the nature of building; lacking compassion and patience with zero
understanding of how things should be done may lack appreciation for
our work. Those types are the absolute worst. Some people have no idea
that while doing renovations, electrical may require a key amount of
investigation. They are blind, for they can only see physical work and
immediately confuse investigating with idleness. Those types of
homeowners should just gut their houses out and start fresh off the
framing if they really want to witness work. It's never good to have
someone watching over your shoulder. Then again, they good thing about
this kind of job is that there's almost no supervision.
