  • Right now, I’m quite happy as today I went to the gym and did barbell cleans. Half way though my work out, a sinewy old European man came up to me and taught me how to lift properly. I think that I was doing power cleans which uses more arms with bad form, while he was teaching me more of an Olympic style of clean. He claimed to be a coach at SFU and was very supportive when teaching me form. Every move I made after his example, he kept saying that it’s okay, I’m doing good, and I’m a strong guy, but if I get form down first I can lift even more. He said no one else does these kinds of lifts in this gym except for me and sometimes him.

Very rarely do I get advice in the gym and even more rarely do I ever get good advice that is from someone nice, encouraging, and knows what they’re preaching. One day I want to be knowledgeable enough to help others. It must be a really nice feeling to simply help people that are willing to learn and soak up the information.

  • I was reading one of my older entries today and realized that I haven’t been taking this past advice hard enough:

An architect gave me wise advise today about how we may view life as just a rehearsal, but the reality is that it’s a complete one shot deal. Do what you want to do now while you’re young, don’t wait until you’re old. She had a really stern and serious gaze as she said those words.

  • $

Need to buy new 4×6″ and 6.5″ speakers and bypass my rear amp with new wire, because I’ve been listening to a lot of new music loud and it is apparent that my car’s stereo sounds like shit.

I’m currently listening to these CDs:

Sound Tribe Sector 9 – Peace Blaster
Sound Tribe Sector 9 – Peace Blaster New Orleans Remix
    Ronald Jenkees – Disorganized Fun

The border guards let me back into my country! Through spending four days in Portland, Oregon I’ve eaten a lot of big portioned greasy meals and it was wonderful. Zero% tax is also a bonus.

My 1992 Maxima GXE is starting to get worn down. Rotors need to get grinded down, shocks need to eventually be replaced, a couple of rust spots should be repaired… The list goes on. I really love this car because it was a top of the line Nissan back in the day. I went to the dealership with my grandparents when I was six years old and inherited it from my Grandfather two years ago. It’s currently at 93,000 kms, so the engine is relatively young. The big thing is that eventually I’ll have to replace a shitload of stuff, placing money where it could have went towards a new car. I want a new car with manual transmission and more power, but that’s just a toy and a money pit. If I want to be smart, which I will try to – I’ll maintain this vehicle and push most of my savings towards investing in a new home.

  • BEEEEEE… arr?

I rarely ever drink, but since I got my good friend to drive, I did. -And I feel great! I love beer. It either has to be fresh and from a local brewery or purely Trappist beer from Belgium. When I’m under the influence I usually feel extremely happy and energetic and the best place to dispose of my energy is downtown. Tonight, while riding in the back seat, using my biggest smile I greeted people at the top of my lungs as we passed them by. It was really enjoyable to see their reactions. Some people attempted to ignore me, some smiled without even looking at me, and others waved. Under these circumstances I feel as if everyone is my friend. Why can’t I do this while sober? Because, people would simply think of me to be insane.

People who are intoxicated usually convey their inner feelings, thoughts and desires a lot better. I’m beginning to think that all I want in life is to be happy. Although I missed out on my heavy lifting session and toast masters, I feel so happy that it’s worth it.

Worst of all, I have always had difficulty burping until the point of which I feel sick. Good for me that this beer isn’t as gassy as other cheaper alternatives.

Stuck at home again, while I have so much energy. 1 more day of WORK!
